| Take an egg and prick carefully a little hole in the top of it by using a pair of small, sharp scissors. |
Turn the egg upside down and prick a bigger hole (about 1 cm / 0.5 inch) in there. |
By blowing into the small hole you will get the yolk and white out of the eggshell. |
Rinse the whole eggshell with warm water. |
| For drying put it into the egg carton (bigger hole at the bottom). |
Heat the residues of candles or the wax in a tin after putting the tin into hot water. Take away the wicks. |
Put a new wick into the bigger hole until it appears out of the small hole. |
| Put the eggshell into the egg carton (smaller hole at the bottom). |
Pour the hot liquid wax into the eggshell. |
Wait until the wax is hard and peel away the eggshell. |
Polish the Easter candle with a soft piece of cloth and keep it upright. |
| Tip: Use differently coloured wax leftovers- so you will get striped Easter candles. |
| Finally you can decorate the Easter candles(decoupage, candle pen). |
